Our school has secured a space on a new Irish language primary school initiative titled “Dúchas Thart Orainn” which translates to “The Native Culture Around Us”, the title is inspired by the school subject “The World Around Us"
The aim of this new initiative is to help raise awareness in KS2 pupils of our rich Irish culture. A tutor will visit the school for one hour each week for six weeks to teach P5/6/7 Irish language, song and dance .
This project is funded by Mid Ulster Council.
