BACK TO SCHOOL
We are really excited to welcome back all of our pupils on 1st September 2021. Let's hope this lovely sunny weather continues into the start of term.
The Department of Education has provided guidance for schools to help facilitate the safe return of pupils.
The main points in the guidance are:
*Bubbles are no longer required in schools but we have been advised to maximise the time where pupils are within a consistent group.
*Pupils can bring a school bag and stationery
*Pupils will have packed lunch / dinner in the school's multi-purpose hall
*Adults visiting the school to drop- off or collect pupils should remain outside the school and socially distanced ( 2 metres) and wear a mask
*Regular handwashing will continue in school along with the respiratory hygiene measures including 'Catch it, Bin it, Kill it'
*Class commences at 9.00 a.m. Pupils may be dropped off at school between 8.45 a.m. and 9.00 a.m. Year 2-7 pupils should make their way to their classroom on arrival. Staff will be available to assist everyone on the first morning.
* Additional guidance will be issued to parents of Year 1 pupils via email.
*Opportunities for outdoor learning will be maximised and therefore all pupils will need a coat in school each day
*All pupils will resume PE lessons this year. Teachers will advise on the allocated days for PE via Seesaw
*The full Department of Education guidance can be found on the DE website www.deni.gov.uk
*Lunch menu will be posted on the website before next Wednesday. Pupils wishing to have dinner will need to order for the first week on Wednesday 1st September. Thereafter, all dinner orders should be placed on a Monday morning. All money should be placed in a sealed envelope with your child's name and amount enclosed. No change can be given
*Snack money for Year 2 pupils is £12 to cover the period until the mid-term break.
