I was delighted to receive a cheque this afternoon for £3,500, on behalf of the school, from Michael Mc Mullan, father of Erin in R5. Michael undertook a challenge to walk over 10,000 steps daily for 100 days. Throughout the 100 day period members of the school community, Michael’s family and friends made donations through Just Giving. With constant motivation and determination the challenge was completed and the goal of £3,500 was realised. On behalf of all our pupils and staff I wish to acknowledge Michael’s efforts and say a massive thank you / go raibh maith agat for the donation. The money will be used to roll out a new resource for our school called PATHS. The programme helps to develop resilience and pupil mental health.
