Comhghairdeas agus Dia dhaoibh go léir to our Rang 4 pupils who celebrated their First Holy Communion at 12.30 p.m. Mass on Saturday 29th May 2021 in St. Mary’s Church, Maghera.
We are grateful to have seen you celebrate this special day in your sacramental life, as you received the Body of Jesus for the first time.
Your joy and enthusiasm for Holy Communion is an inspiration to all of us!

Fr. Doherty PP commented after Mass on the great reverence displayed by the children.
My thanks to all our school staff who helped to prepare the children for this special day, especially our R4 teacher Múinteoir Aisling.
Thanks too goes to those who assisted during the mass today - An Chéad Leacht / First reading was read by Múinteoir Aisling and Cúntóir Ranga Maria read the Guī an Phobail /Prayers of the Faithful.
Mrs Aiveen Downey was responsible for the music liturgy which added so much to the occasion.
We are grateful for the parental support in helping to prepare the children at home too. It was lovely to hear the children saying the mass responses confidently throughout the ceremony.
The many words of thanks and encouragement received from parents after mass today are very much appreciated, especially in this time of pandemic.
We thank God too for blessing us all with such beautiful weather today.
