First Communion for all Rang 5 pupils will take place on Saturday 26th September 2020 at 11.00 a.m.
in St. Mary’s Church, Maghera.
- Due to the restrictions currently in place during this time of pandemic, Fr Doherty has asked that only the immediate family are present in the church for the First Communion mass i.e. the Rang 5 pupil, their parents and siblings.
- Mass will be available to all at home via the church webcam https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-marys-rc-church
- Each family will be assigned a seat in alphabetical order
- There will be an empty seat between each family
- Pupils will not have readings or prayers to say
- There will be no offertory procession
- A photographer will be present at the church
- We ask that all attending the mass adhere to the social distancing and advice to wear a face covering in the church
- Fr P Doherty will celebrate mass in Irish.
- No choir permitted at this time but Mrs Downey will lead the music liturgy
