 It may be possible to use this time at home to work on improving your child’s independence.

If tying shoe laces is a skill you would like to work on with a child or young person, here are some supports to help. You may wish to model following the visual supports before asking the learner to try. Using alternate red and blue laces, similar to the video, increases the level of visual structure for this task. This should make the task easier to accomplish.
